An old riddle Okay, here's a fun little "riddle" that I've heard a couple of times in different incarnations:
You want to find the way to the Liars' Village where everybody lies all the time. You know that there's another village nearby called the Truthtellers' Village where everybody always tells the truth. You reach a T-intersection without any signposts. A boy is sitting on a rock nearby. He is either from the Liars' Village or from the Truthtellers' Village, you don't know which. What question (only one!) should you ask the boy to find out which of the two roads leads to the Liars' Village? A foxy pic of a person of the winner's preferred gender will be posted as a prize to whoever finds the answer (with explanation) first!

Yes! That's the correct answer! Unfortunately it's for a whole other riddle. But I'm sure the boy would like a bag of black stones to play with. I'm not sure how he'd react when he has to marry a guy though.

Ask the boy to lead you to his village...if he's from the truthful village, you'll be set. If he's from the liar's village, he'll lead you to the truthful village because he always lies.

Now an interesting thing to this riddle might be: Do you know the origins of this riddle? You don't scare me; i got kids

How do you know if you're at the right one? When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

How do you know if you're at the right one? You'll always end up at the truthteller's village...because the boy, whether a liar or a truthteller, can't help but take you to only one of the villages; the truthteller's.

Ask one of them: If I asked the other one the correct way, would he tell me the truth?
Work it out from there Now: ORIGIN of the riddle ? You don't scare me; i got kids

Yeah but u want to go to the liars village But this way you'll know where it is. The task was to find the way to it, not to go to it.

Yeah but u want to go to the liars village Actually, you want to go to the truthteller's village...but even if you wanted to go to the liar's village, you can still ask the boy to take you to his village...if he's a truthteller, he'll take you down the correct path to the truthteller's village..and if he's a liar, he'll take you down the wrong path to his village and instead take you to the truth teller's village...and whichever road he starts down, you'll know the other road leads to the liar's village. Oh, just give me the map and I'll drive...lol

But Byron's solution works fine too.
