My Tooth Hurts!

Going to the dentist right now is not an option, since I've been out of work for the last 9 months, and just starting a new job tomorrow. Does anybody have a good "home remedy" for toothaches?
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Stop eating meat.

A good grass based diet will solve that. confused

tie a piece of string around a doorknob and wrap that string around the ailing tooth, now slam the door shut as hard as you can. smile

Go to the dentist, its time. Since you are starting a new job try look for a dentist that is open evenings or on weekends. Maybe there is an emergency dentist.

Use cloves!!
Take a couple of cloves and place them between your aching tooth and your cheek. Chew on the cloves a little to release their juices and then leave them in place until it feels better. Do that, or use Orajel

You do need to see a dentist before the pain gets worse and avoid a root canal. Don't forget to brush, floss regularly and rinse with Literine.

Good luck with your new job.

I second the clove oil suggestion above. nod

Also, Anbasol or OraGel (sp?) help numb toothache pain.

Luv4u made a good suggestion too about finding a dentist with evening hours. I know a lot of them do that.

Hope your tooth feels better soon and good luck at your new job.

Screw it. Make time and take your teeth to the dentist. I'll be there on Thursday getting a little work done myself. biggrin

I's reading about this dentist in Orlando, FL who has his office done up like Star Trek and the dentist and his employees wear Trek uniforms. That would be awesome.

"Dammit, I'm a dentist..."

"Drill me up, doctor."

Actually I was only suggesting cloves from a spice rack. I've read that using full strength oil of clove can damage the tooth's nerve.

Really? Yikes, I didn't know that. I'd only heard about using the clove oil before for tooth pain. confused

Strike the "clove oil" suggestion then...I really don't know enough about it and wouldn't want anybody to damage their tooth.
