Elevator Manners In Corporate America

OK, I have no clue why some people are so stupid, but the rules that govern elevator etiquette are based on simple scientific rules.

1) When the damned door opens, people inside the elevator should be allowed to exit before more passengers get on. WTF? It's simple. Some fat lady walked in to a mostly full elevator I was in today with no regard as to whether anyone needed to empty out of it. I'm not making fun of fat people or anything, but there wasn't much room in there to begin with and we had 3 people who ended up exiting that thing. She walked in we had to "reshuffle" just to accompodate her, and one lady had to move around her with a purse and laptop case in each had basically bumping into everyone.

2) If you're a smoker, could you please take the stairs or something? We non-smokers can smell you and it stinks shit up in the elevator. I used to smoke, so I understand how difficult it is--but your presence in the elevator is like someone walking in and letting out a silent but deadly fart.

3) Finally, if you're one of only two people in the elevator, why do you have to pretend like you don't have a clue somebody else is in there? It's wierd.

I do that boxed In my own defense, I don't like elevators to begin with, and being boxed in one with only a stranger just makes me too tense to feel like making small talk.

The more I have, for both are infinite." ~Juliet

ReturnOfDOOK

Since I love to fart, I farted in the elevator in Vegas and my friends got all mad...so, I made up a song for the weekend...

(to the tune of "Love in an Elevator" by Aerosmith)

Fart in the elevator!
Stinkin' it up when I'm going down!

That's it. confused
