Renaissance Faires and Festivals

Faire season is starting here in the South ... who attends ? who role plays ?

what faires do you go to ? what do you like about them ? what do you dislike ?

biggrin

asheville has a tiny faire each yr ( this weekend ) and we will be going again ... my daughter has danced at the larger NC fairs since she was 6 ... we are going to try to go to the Ga. faire this season ...Michigan has a nice one also...

right now i am looking into the Az faire...as my best friend is now moving there and i will be going out to see him soon

A friend of mine used to work the Texas Renaissance Festival. I asked him why he didn't get married in their beautiful open-aire chapel. He told me it was because he had seen what people do in there after the patrons go home, and there was no way that was hallowed ground anymore!

I love the space that it is housed in..

Open forest, fresh air. They literally built a Renaissance type village there.

there is 1 here in Maryland every fall..

it seems quite interesting & all that-
hell, I'd go just to see those "fair maidens" in those dresses with the upper half REALLY tight & showing AMPLE cleavage..

but this Renaissance Festival happens in September.
During the NFL SEASON.
I am 1 of those people - I don't miss NFL games unless it's a life or death situation.
wait.. I think they have this on Saturdays too..
MAYBE
I could go then..

is it September yet??
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..
