Suggestions?

I will be watching Shadows & Fog for the second time in a few weeks, tonight (get a plasma and all your friends are suddenly very interested in coming over and watching TV rolleyes). I do love this film, but I believe this will be the fourth or fifth time I will be seeing it. Any suggestions as to how to occupy myself during the screening, all the while looking as though I am engrossed in the movie?

Get a pillow.
Put it over your lap.
Masturbate.

Alternatively:

Take some kind of thought-provoking drug.
Stare at the TV and have stoner thoughts whilst looking completely absorbed.

Pick some word and then count how many times it's said during the movie. Like "and" or "or" or something. If you already have obsessive-compulsive tendencies, this works great! You look like you're intensely concentrating on the film yet, in actuality, you're simply involved in waiting for the next utterance of the chosen word.

(this sounds like a stupid joke but I've actually employed this little distraction to help me through boring situations. it works for me. gives me something to do. or you can mentally try to "type" out the dialogue as you hear it,like on an imaginary keyboard. keeps your mind occupied anyway! smile)

On second thought, I think I'll just watch my friend and see if she picks up on all the metaphors in the movie. If she doesn't, I'll belittle her. biggrin

There's a million of these (like doing a shot every time someone says "Hi, Bob" during the Bob Newhart show).
