I thought it was quirky. Not your average Adam Sandler movie. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss
Pain is something to carry, like a radio...You should stand up for your right to feel your pain- Jim Morrison

i think adam sandler paid the magnolia dude a lot of money to make him a nice, quirky art film to star in so people would take him seriously and so adam sandler could try to edge his way into 'comic-turned-serious-actor' status.

Did anyone actually like it? Critics? Anyone? I really didn't like it at all.

I watched it on a whim... I remember not being too sure of what I thought about such a film. Wait... , now I remember.

It was one of the worst movies I've ever seen! I just hate when objects/subtexts are placed in movies without any reason or justifcation.(the organ and car accident). it really was quite terrible. "be glad that you are free, many a man is not"

it was ok.
"eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" was Not related but mew and my mates knew nothing aobut the movie and just assumed it was gonna be a normal comedy. How wrong we were. "vanilla sky" we thought would be routine too, it's great when u get surprised like that. But "punch drunk love" was nothing special.

Did anyone actually like it? Critics? Anyone? I really didn't like it at all. i was disappointed. there was some stuff i liked in it, but overall it seemed forced and rushed and the lead love interest actress (emily watson, right? i forget) looked like she didn't know what she was doing in that movie. it was a bit of a mess.

I have this habit of just picking up unknown titles (unknown to me), or just wandering by a movie theatre and on whim, just watching whatever is playing at the time. "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" is a mental trip, for real.

"eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" is a mental trip, for real. i couldn't get with that movie, either. and i really wanted to, because i'm completely in favor of charlie kaufman and spike jonez and i really - REALLY - loved 'adaptation'. but 'eternal sunshine' just seemed really convoluted and self-conscious - i 'got' what the movie was going for, but the film was just really smug and unlikeable to me. i have to admit, though, that i was really impressed with jim carrey's acting.

I liked Eternal Sunshine too Me too! I liked them both and I'm not ashamed to say it! When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
