Melinda & Melinda

I gave-up looking for the old thread (like looking for a needle in a haystack without the search function).

Finally got around to seeing this last night.

While nowhere near top-tier Woody, it did have its charms. Personally, I would have liked to have seen more parallels between the two stories and I thought some of the acting was quite stilted, but - on the whole - I liked it.

Anybody else 'sides DiminutiveRocker seen this?

i'm gonna wait for DVD with this one, the way i have with his last few. i remember when a new woody allen movie was a fun event, and all my friends and i would rush out to see the latest...these days, his films have gotten so lackluster, it's all i can do to rent 'em. though i DID think parts of 'anything else' were mildly salvageable.

this weekend i'm all about seeing 'palindromes', and after that i wanna see 'hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy'...so no love for the woodman from me, i'm afraid.

I found Anything Else painful, except for the scenes between Woody and the kid (what's his name? Jason Biggs?).

i kinda liked some of the parts with stockard channing, though woody was trying way too hard to make her a trainwreck.

the silliest thing about that movie was when jason biggs' character kept talking about going to his analyst...who uses the word "analyst" anymore? woody needs to get out more. lol

I didn't even remember that Stockard Channing was in the flick.

I liked the wisdom Woody's character dispensed to Jason Biggs.
