Question for the ladies...or whoever

I did a really stupid thing yesterday! I decided to dye my hair a "spicy copper" before I went back to my original dark brown...It's been Golden Bronze. Anyway, the color turned my hair an awful FIRE TRUCK RED!! eek Luckily it is just a rinse, but how soon can I put another rinse in!!

I'm scared to go out in public! bawl

I don't know. I'll never put a colour in my hair. I bleached it once, about 8 years ago and it still hasn't recovered fully. Call me conservative. lol

But I don't know, is it that bad? This red?

It's probably not soooo bright now, but I haven't taken my hair down, so I don't know. It was very bright yesterday

Cool! I used to have that color and I actually liked it. You may have to use a toner to get it back to the way you want it. Sometimes the brassiness will stay in from reds.

You can buy a toner or a color "stripper" at your local beauty salon.....or you can pay to have it fixed.....

I have turned my hair green so many times sad
Ive learned to stay away from "ash" based colors.

If you don't know what you're doing strippers can make it worse. It needs to be applied evenly.

If you just put a light brown over it you should be fine. Always go 3 shades lighter than your natural hair color because 99% of the time it will be too dark.

Haters travel in packs and they are offended or threatened by klhk, haters express intense hostility toward the subject of hate. Haters are annoyed and roll thier eyes when klhk is paid a compliment. ask yourself, are u a hater?

Hey I know what you are going through because I had my haircut and dyed a few months ago. It was worse because it was permanent. I have natural brown hair and I wanted it lightened just a bit....anywho it came out like an orange and it was hideous! It was ok for the first few days but after three weeks my roots were showing! So I dyed my hair dark brown..(it looked black!) So now i looked like elvira...so here comes my advice...

I wanted my natural brown hair and this happened by accident..

I bought John Freida's Brunette Shampoo And Conditioner...(about 5.50 each)
It lightened my hair dramatically back to my natural hair color! What it does it brings out your natural color it enhances it. So now my hair is back to my color with nice highlights.

You can do it whenever you want. Maybe use a real strong shampoo, like a dandruff shampoo or something to try and get some of the red out first.

A lot of people confuse permanent and semi permanent hair dye too. If you use a "temporary" hair color that is darker than your natural it's going to stain your hair and not fully come out. Also semi permanent hair color is WORSE for your hair because it's a metallic hair dye. The metals stay in the shaft of your hair and it's more likely to break off if you dye over it.

I've been dying my hair since I was 12 and my mom is a hair dresser. I've got lots of experience!

lol

I used to always turn my haor odd colours

probably why as a teenager i had hair colours ranging from blond--->purple----->black

it's great fun

oh and don't worry about going out in public, they will see the funny side and you will more than likely get some unexpected compliments

giggle

I was naughty and used to dye on top on dye all the time although it's not too good for your hair shrug
I'm lolly "borrowing" an account
