I just came back from seeing a special screening of this movie. It was pretty good, not great. The jokes were corny as hell Alan Rickman was hilarious and deadpan as the depressed robot. Sam Rockwell was very sexy in an ugly way (gay guys and straight women don't take your eye off of the scene where he's in his boxers, everything moved to the left, if you know what I'm saying). Mos Def was great and so was the lead actor.

I didn't read the book so I don't know how close the movie was. The special effects were okay.

I'll probably be seeing this this weekend.

Can't wait to see this one

I do vaguely remember reading the books when I was in grade school. I thought this plot looked familiar.I never thought they would bring it to the big screen. Oh well, this show be interesting. Since I am a sci-fi fan, I may check it out or wait till it comes to pay tv or DVD.

I saw the original BBC series of the Hitchhiker. I loved it. I can't wait till my hunny gets back in town so we can watch it together again.

I just wished the Red Dwarf team could get their asses in gear!

Well you can probably get the bootleg video anywhere in the U.S. but I meant the series. I'm assuming you recommend the series. I'll have to check it out. I fell in love with the robot(not Althom,although very handsome).

I'm nervous about this one. I LOVE the books, but I just don't see how they could do it without totally screwing it up.
