my daughter was bit by a tick last night... she pulled it off, not knowing what it was, it was still moving, so i know the head came out... couldnt really see it last night, the bite i mean, so i didnt think much of it..
this morning, its red around it with a while circle around the red area. she isnt acting any different, though, from what i've read on the net this morning, it takes a while for symptoms to show (usually 24-48 hours). the concern here is lymes disease. the tick she brought me looked just like this....
The following are among the tick-borne diseases have been identified in ticks and diagnosed in people in Kansas & Missouri. o Lyme Disease o Master’s disease (similar to Lyme in rash, other symptoms, and treatment) o Ehrlichiosis o Rocky Mountain spotted fever o Tularemia o Babesiosis strain MO-i in Missouri *- Missouri is one of the leading states in reports of ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and tularemia > Ticks on migrating birds carry tick-borne diseases to new areas > Lone star and deer tick nymphs (baby ticks) are very small, about the size of a poppy seed, and are often unnoticed > Ticks feed on mammals, birds, and reptiles. Wild animals can be infected with tick- borne diseases without becoming ill, and they then serve as reservoirs to infect other ticks o Deer, rabbits, mice, and other small mammals are common reservoir hosts. o Dogs, cats, and farm animals can become ill with tick-borne diseases. ~ People can be at risk from ticks that hitch a ride into the home on pets > An individual can become re-infected if bitten again at a later time by another infected tick > More than one disease can be acquired from a single tick bite > Co-infections make diagnosis and treatment more difficult ~‘ People are becoming infected with Lyme & other tick-borne diseases throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area, on both sides of the state line the area behind my house that i thought was so pretty when we moved in here, is a wooded area with a creek. i have lost a cat to those woods, and now i have tick issues to watch out for .... does anyone know ANYTHING about this ????? here every spring you have to watch for ticks...
get your kids to wear their socks over their pant legs and when they come in from walking / playing in the grass look over their clothes and along the hairline then at night check armpits, knees, groin and hair lyme disease is a reality but there are just too many ticks to get worked up over it. watch the bite - if you think it needs attention get it looked at by the way washing a tick down the drain won't get rid of it - they will just find their way back up. flush or cut it in half | |

I wouldn't trust anything else but "go have it checked out" anyone here at the org would say. well, being sunday, the only option is the emergency room, and i dont think thats the right step to take at this point. i will check it several times today, note any changes, anything too drastic, and will have her in the ER.. other than that, i will call first thing in the AM and let her doctors know (sure wish i woulda just killed the tick and saved it, but i guess i wasnt thinking about that, i just wanted to get rid of the damn thing). you know me well enough to know i will panic before i stay calm... Umm, I would have to agree here. If you're concerned about your child, go call your family physician or use the lovely webMD. Monitor it. Pay attention. Not to mention, I can't remember how many times I was outside playing and got a tick on me as a child, and yes, had to pull one out. I lived to tell about it. Insatiable taught me everything I know about balls.

miss K...
i have listened to you go on and on and on and ONNNNN about your pussy, how it feels, when it bleeds, what you like, how you like it, and what makes your pussy 'happiest' listen, i'd argue with you.. but, its really not worth it, as plainly you arent in the right frame of mind, and i would win without much effort. so, why dont you stick to the things you know.... and i'll deal with my issues any way i please. im sure that the more intelligent orgers out there understood what i was asking when i posed this question... how about if you dont strain your brain to much in trying to add what you think is a 'good answer' k ?
