INTERNET EXPLORER/AUTO COMPLETE QUESTION

Hi,

Im hoping somebody can help me with this.

Up until about a month ago the autocomplete feature on Internet Explorer was working fine and whenever I entered passwords, usernames, search criteria etc up popped the option that I had entered before.

This has suddenly stopped working and,although all theright boxes are ticked and I get the correct prompts, autocomplete doesnt seem to be working and I get no previously enetered drop down list.

Anybody know of this problem and how to correct it - I have been into the INTERNET OPTIONS - CONTENT - AUTOCOMPLETE ETC with no joy

Thank you heart

Did your recently delete your cookies? Also try to go to Tools, then Internet Options, then Content and make sure that you have selected AutoComplete.

"The AutoComplete feature can be enabled / disabled by modifying a preference in Internet Explorer. Here's how to change the setting with IE6:

* Load Internet Explorer

* Click Tools -> Internet Options

* Click the Content Tab

* Click the AutoComplete Button

* Ensure that "User names and passwords on forms" and "prompt me to save passwords" both have a check-mark"

Also, if you accidentally saved to different logins for the same web site, sometimes it won't auto-complete until you start to type the first few letters of the username.
