I believe more and more children are born with health problems because we keep people who are weak alive and allow them to reproduce and pass on their bad genes whereas without the medical attention they would have died at an early age. Eventually this will cause some serious problems.

My sister-in-law didn't like this theory that well. (She has astma and and allergies which she passed on to her children. lol)

In the past the bad genes were slowly eliminated by natural selection, but nowadays that has come to a halt due to survival rates going up as a result of medical care, especially in the more developed parts of the world.

It is hereditary but it does not mean that the children of this parent will always go on to develop the disease. Sure the chances increase if one or more parent has it but many offspring dont develop hereditary diseases. Also, allergies are treatable and most (not all) are non life threatening.

You're right, not all of them will develop a disease, which doesn't mean the genes aren't passed on. If you limit the influence of natural selection on the species it means that eventually you'll be left with an inferior species. Therefore my theory is not flawed, at least not regarding this.
