i do *not* moderate this forum....i am not threatning you...im telling you as a participant and observer of this thread to chill out....do you have no respect for paisley's horrible exprience?

look, i came to this thread late...and i read it all in one shoot..at first i was a bit annoyed with how she set up her statement but then when she explained her past horror it made sense to me.

you, you just kept steamrolling the issue.

Sorry again. I saw where it says "mods this forum" and I got confused.

Just to clarify I never once commented on pasiley's horrible experience, and I will not. And I don't appreciate that you are giving the impression to those just coming in that I have done that.

I have had a similar horrible experience, not with a boyfriend, with a trusted family elder. But it has nothing to do with this thread. My opinion on breastfeeding stems from other personal experiences related to this topic.

And that is all I have responded to, statements specific to this topic.

I was interested in that discussion, not this he said she said stuff.

I refered incorrectly to your use of the word tact and after you clarified, I apologized. But I never once refered to paisley's comments regarding her abuse. Others have but not me. It wouldn't happen.

Its obvious you dont know me or you'd know that.

your right, you havent commented on her past...thats what i have issue with..you kept steamrolling on your mission to prove that only you have the right opinion on this issue...when in fact, if you put paisley's comments into context (in regards to her past experiences) you should at least show some compassion to why she felt so passionate in the first place to make the extreme statement that she did.

Call me old fashioned or whatever, but it's not very ladylike to be in a public place and to see a baby sucking on a woman's boob. Not something to care to witness either

Well it seems you are just not right with it being done in public, but you know the actual benefits of breastfeeding your child. So for you to not like it done in public, well that is just your opinion, but don't deny your child (when that time comes) the benefits of having its natural born health elixir which you are made to produce for the well-being of your child.

Anything outside of breast milk for a child sets your child up to a host of allergies, conditions and side affects of substituting your milk for something not natural or beneficial for the child.

I brest-fed, thought it hurt a little, just knowing I was doing what's best for my daughter was ok for me. I tried to stay home during feeding times so I wouldn't have to deal with people watching. Way cheaper then buying!

It's not really about the breast feeding at all, it's your attitude. I hope you don't raise your child to that that much disrespect for others.

Not only that, but most of these women out there flopping their tit out for the world to see don't realize that they just look frickin' gross. I'm all for discreet breastfeeding - my sister breastfeeds and 1/2 the time I don't even notice she's doing it. But to the mothers who are all like "I'm going to whip out my crusty, floppy-ass tit and if you don't like it then SCREW YOU YOU'RE A SICKO!", trust me when I say that 1) no one thinks your precious Pookie is special but you and yours, which leads to 2) no one gives a damn if Pookie is so hungry that you have to whip it out for all to see. Give me a break. Mothers with entitlement issues - especially new mothers - make me sick. You have to be seriously fucked in the head if you have a problem with women breastfeeding in public. It says more about you than it does about them.

Yup, you guessed it. I secretly have a breast fetish. I can't watch a child breastfeed because I desire to be in their place. My hands just start to shaking and I just blurt out, "WHERE THE TITTIES AT!?!?!" It all started when I was born. I was born a poor black child...*

*rolls my eyes very deeply*

It's funny that people want to piss on people and say "Oh, you must be American" and "Oh, you must be European". Personally, I've NEVER seen a country put their children on a pedestal like Americans do. It's nauseating.

lol Feel better? biggrin

I have never seen a woman flop out her breast for din din. Never not once. Where is this happening that people are seeing women just flip out their bare breasts for all to see without regard? I live in California and if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen here!

You are entitled to feel like you don't want to see it but a baby should not have to be on your schedule. They need to eat. If you can't hang, get over your feelings for a few seconds. Because regardless of whether or not others should be imposed upon by other people's children, feeding is absolutely required. A baby has to eat ya know.....

And I think the whole "fuck off" attitude is probably coming more from some people who feel that they can impose on the rest of us because they have a kid. Maybe that is where the rub is coming from in the attitude department. Because I can say for sure that I do not appreciate people brining newborns to the theater or to a restaurant. I do not enjoy having to put up with other peoples ill behaved children.

Most parents look the other way when their kids act up and for someone who doesn't have kids to all of a sudden be imposed upon by someone's child and then have them basically act like "you can fuck off if you don't like it, it's my kid". Breastfeeding though seems to be in a totally different category because a woman isn't imposing her child on you. She's feeding it, taking care of it.

thank you. i was starting to get angry again by everyone being offended by my 'fuck off' attitude but not understanding why i said it. first off i said in because i was angry at one persons attack of me, telling me i 'have attitude' because i believe its natural to breastfeed my child. i went into defense mode. this is my child we're talking about. and i am sorry if those who do not have children don't understand...i WILL do anything anytime and anywhere if it is to the benefit or necessity of my child. thats just the way it is. i don't want to offend anyone and that is why i was discreet when i nursed him. i can't believe some people would take this so far. and as for raising my child...i am doing a great job. thank you for your concern dr. i teach my son to respect all people, regardless of race, religion, sexual preference...etc.
whether you 'think' breastfeeding is proper or not, healthy or not, barbaric or not is up to you...it is your opinion. but it is natural. there really can be no question about that.
i am done with this thread...it has been beaten to death. lets bury it before it kills us all.
even though i still believe in what i said...i am sorry if i offended anyone with my angry rantings.

OK, I have never seen anything like that. So if that is what people are in an uproar over, I can understand. But isn't it funny how this happens in African villages everyday and nobody even notices biggrin

But the attitude against breast feeding comes out even when women are being discreet and if someone can't handle it then, they need to get the frick over themselves.

I understand that 100%, in fact I think I already stated that? confuse

Anyway, my friend was discreet about it and I had no problems with it at all. But there are SOME women who want to make a big scene about. Then when they get nasty looks they get pissed off and say it's their right blah blah blah. There are ways to do things tastefully, but unfortunately not all know how to do that.

Just the other day a woman was in the locker room with her baby just as a mad rush of people came in to change. She was forcing her nipple on the kid! Not to mention in the middle of 20 ladies trying to change! The baby did not want to eat and she's waving her nipple around like it was a large cheese pizza! I'm sorry but if you're gonna make a spectacle of yourself WHILE BREAST FEEDING I"m gonna get disgusted.
