emile griffith who knows about this man? i saw a story about him in the paper. they are doing a tv movie about him that seems like it will be very interesting. i've never heard of him 'till now.

Yeah man, Emile! He was a black dude, boxer too. Used to wear Everlast shorts....  according to them he's a closet gay man who is very guarded about his sexuality, i guess he has to considering being gay is not accepted in such a sport. he killed a man (paret) in a boxing match by extreme headshots and he was depressed about it everysince.

Nah, never heard of him, sorry.Looks like quite an old photo - what era is he from? If it's going back a while, then, man, the prejudices that would have been stacked up against him as a black man and a gay man must have been immense.
