Me and my girlfriend are going to be movin' to London in June and I've seen some pretty negative stuff written on here about the UK and now we are having second thoughts.

Is this just a one off or is it really as bad as they make out?

London's great. The government is not so great.

Just be warned that it's quite expensive and pensions are taxed.

I live on the south coast of England in a city called Bournemouth!! About 120 miles southwest of London!!

We had 2 go 2 London last week and we all had headaches the next 2 days due 2 the smog and pollution and the traffic noise!!!

Yes, its true, London is a vibrant happening place, but it all comes at a price!!!

As a fellow New Yorker, I say GO. London is fantastic,the public transportaion is great,very easy to get around, most of the people we met were very nice. .there is an element of predudice against Americans but it really isn't all that bad.I would love to live there for a while.

London's great, of course. So much to do. One of the most important cities in the world.

I doubt it's as smoggy as Bangkok, where I live. Although, haven't been to London in a few years so who knows?

So many opportunities from there though. Short hop to Paris or Dublin, two other similarly amazing cities.
