So, I bent over and took it HARD from the blackjack dealers up in Reno on Saturday. We had tickets to see Jay Leno on Saturday night so we got up at the butt crack of dawn so we could leave the house by 6:30 am (yuck!). After the three hour drive, we arrived in the "Biggest Little City in the World" and I began to gamble. I started playing $25 blackjack and was out of $200 within about a half hour or so - not cool. So, I decided to play some more a little later so I figured I'd just waste some time at the $5 tables....well, in a matter of about an hour, I had managed to blow another $200 or so - what's sad is that blackjack is MY GAME and I normally do well....I was definitely not lucky this weekend. I lost the rest of the money on some video poker machines and the damn Yankees game. Grrrr!!!

After being violated from behind from the wonderful blackjack dealers, I decided to go to the arcade and blow my last $5 on some video games - why not, right? So, I got some tokens and played until they were gone and I headed up to meet my friends in the room. Well, somewhere in between where I got change and went to my room, I lost my wallet. So, since I didn't have my driver's license, I had to stay in while my friends went to the strip clubs and saw boobies. Apparently there was a half white/half Vietnamese girl there that my friends said I would have fallen in love with (I tend to date Asians...).... Unfortunately, I wasn't able to witness this as I was stuck in my room polishing off a 12 pack of Coors Light and soaking in my multiple losses for the day.

Anyways, I didn't have any cash in my wallet so that was good and I called in time to cancel my credit cards. Also, Jay Leno was funny as hell. So, it was kinda crappy this time in Reno (last time was when I saw Prince open the Musicology tour!!!)...Oh well...maybe I'll have better luck next time.

I feel your pain.

Lost my wallet 2 weeks ago and it is a pain to cancel all your freakin cards etc and get everything replaced.

I also blew $250 on the ponies on the weekend.

I enjoy sitting at a blackjack, getting to know the other people at the table, celebrating when they win, celebrating when I win, chatting it up with the dealer, riding the emotional roller coaster....It's called FUN and it's well worth the price you sometimes pay. There have been times when I've walked out $500 richer and it feels damn good! Gambling every couple of months is a fun activity, win or lose.
