Julia says i'm so ashamed - i bought that single. really like that song. I preferred 'Wishing I Was Lucky'. I knew someone at school who'd sing 'Wishing Well' and do a perfect Marty Pellow impression. His name was Tim Foreman, now I think about it, and we'd all sing 'Tim Foreman' to the tune of Snow's breakout smash single 'Informer'. As you were.

We were so cruel. To the tune of the Beatles' "Michelle" we'd sing: "Russ-ell, You smell." etc.

i have some now cd's from the 90s im sure lolly does to! Not 90s, I mean 80s. We used to buy the latest Hits Tape and later Now tapes every year for our holidays in France. I dug them out a few months back. Hits Tape 6, 7, 8 and I think I have Now tapes starting from 10. Ah, Madonna - La Isla Bonita, Bruce Willis - Under The Boardwalk... the memories...

My elder sister had some of the real early Now tapes / LPs - like 1-3.
The first ones i got were Now 10 (Pump up the Volume etc.) and Now 11 (Heaven is a place on earth, The Only Way is Up etc.)

I also bought the single. Awesome. "Star trekkin' across the universe. Always going forward; never in reverse!" Or something like that? And, "it's life, jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, not as we know it." I never watched star trek but loved the song (and the video which was kinda plasticine animation, was it? )

"It's worse than that, he's dead Jim, dead Jim, dead Jim. It's worse than that he's dead Jim, Scotty beam me up!"
And it just went faster and faster at the end. Crazy!

And it just went faster and faster at the end. Crazy! i think that song and the Spitting Image song, "Hold a Chicken in the air" were of an insane quality never quite reached since (although Blobby tried valiantly. I love the way that piece of shit 'song' did so well.)
