Six Pack

I want a six pack...How many situps or crunches do I need to do each day and for how long, so I can get rock hard abs?

Oh yeah, I want to tone the muscles in my arms too, I'm not going to the gym...I'll do it the old fashion way. How many push-ups a day do I need to increase my arms size. I want to show people who's boss.

Six packs are mostly about dieting. We all have them, it's just that they're usually under a layer of fat.

Unfortunately I will never have one..... sad

You don't need to do too many crunches. What you need to do is lose weight.

Push ups won't do much for your biceps, mostly shoulders, triceps and chest.

Not that you asked for it, but I'm gonna give my opinion on it anyway. I don't think a six pack looks good on a girl.

Can't get them that way.

A six pack devlops when your body fat percentage dips belwo 10% for men, and 12% for women.

To do this, you have to eat low fat foods, resistence training, and cardio. Situps help strengthen your stomach (and this reinforces your back), and they do help a little--but the major part of your improvement will come from the three above mentioned things.

High fat, low fat doesn't matter that much. You need to go below your maintenance calory intake.

It speeds the rate at which your body drops below the percentage of body fat.

Like your personal trainer will tell you:
Six packs are made in the kitchen--not the gym

well, I'm very slim and losing weight is not a good idea.

I used to think six packs didn't look good on females.

Your a female?

Hmmm. I don't care for six packs on women--not my thing.
I like women a little soft.

And with Junk in the trunk.

I don't think you should care about the six packs. As long as your excercising and feeling good--that should be your concern.

No it doesn't per se. What it does do is allow you to eat more food with the same amaount of calories which makes dieting a lot easier. Low fat diets really aren't that great. All she needs to do IMO is keep it simple: consume less calories and more physical activity.

Yes it does.

Low fat diets AREN'T great--they run the risk of slowing your metabolism down if you drop below 80% of yoru allowed coleric intake.

But it makes a big difference, and quick. Any weight trainer will tell you that.

Whether it is healthy or not isn't my concern--I'm addressing specifically how to get the quickest visual results.

I've done it and I know it works.

stop eating anything but egg whites and vegetables... and lift heavy weights (work your whole body) till you almost throw up, and do crunches and leg lifts with the proper form. This is the Answer!

Women do need to have some fat in their diet as its needed for hormones and to maintain fertility (if you care about that at all). Just don't go all out and cut fat out of your diet completely - try eating foods with good fat/oils like fish, seeds and nuts (not the roasted/salted ones).

To show a "six-pack", you'll need to build up your abdominal muscles and strip off body fat. To increase your biceps muscles, you'll need to do curls.

Well first i diet, the best way i find is to keep a diet log to track my meals.

also i switched to six small meals a day instead of three larger ones. This helped a huge amount by, revin' up my metabolism and prevent the stretching of the stomach

ofcourse i do i do other routines, but first u have 2 get rid of the fat covering ur ads

thats what i found anyway confused
