It is easily my fave name ever. Dunno why...maybe cos it was a real childhood/ tennage crush ....*nods off whistfully and starts dreaming in rose-tinted visions of a Welsh girl who ran off with a married vicar and had two kids and is probably nowhere near as great as he remembers Anyway... My wife and I have been introduced to many people over the years as a couple, as you can imagine, and especially to a lot of children (there are lots in Emma's family and her friends have them etc). As a result, there are lots of children who seem to think we are one entity, like siamese twins, and we are called "Emmaranddave" "no, that's Dave and that is Emma" "Hello Emmarandave" "tsk....." | |

Friends of mine are expecting and if they were having a girl the name they were kicking around was Alison, but then she would have been Alison Ellingson. I loved it, my girlfriend thought it was silly.

Friends of mine are expecting and if they were having a girl the name they were kicking around was Alison, but then she would have been Alison Ellingson. I loved it, my girlfriend thought it was silly.
But alas, it's a boy. Alison Ellingson IS a pretty bad name for a boy! | |

But alas, it's a boy. my friends mom was having a baby and loved the name Skye for a girl... she was telling me about this and we suddenly looked at each other and burst out laughing because the babies father and whose surname the child would take was walker skye walker
