The New Sony PSP!

I just got one last Sunday and it is amazing!!! It's sooo cool!! It's a portable game counsel- I have the games "Wipout Pure" and "Ape Escape on the Loose." You can wirelessly play games with other gamers. It plays movies and games on UMD discs (it came with the movie Spiderman 2) and on Memory Stick Duo on a LCD screen- the resolution is unreal! The UMD discs are about the size of an half dollar and are enclosed in a plastic case similar to that of a mini disc. You can also store and view digital photos- I've got the family trip to Cozumel, Mexico on my memory stick. It's also a MP3 player- I've got Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B remixes on my memory stick. I FUCKIN' LOVE SONY!!

Anyone else have one? If your thinking of getting one DO IT!! I just LOVE mine!!!!

Yeah i got that. I don't play videogames much, but my mate gets loadsa weird imports of japanease games and shit. So when bored, I go and see him and chill on a videogame for a while.

I still say nintendo make the best games, even if the themes are more juvinille.

I agree
Who carse if nintendo games seem more childish? isn't playing video games a childish concept anyways?

So what if Sony and Microsoft add sex and violence on their games.... there's plenty of that on the news

Get a DS. Don't be a sheep to the faceless sony. I love the fact u have a touch screen on the DS. A game like "touch kirby" is awesome. U use a stylus (lil' thin pen) and have to draw platforms for your pink buddie kirby to fly on. U gotta keep creating new ones. It is creative fun.

I'm not down with the sex and vilence in games- I'm hoping some space games and some classic games will be released for the PSP.

I've got a bunch of those joysticks that you plug into your TV that are loaded with the 1980s classic arcade games- I love those!!

My little brother has one of those. It seems really neat and the touch creen is just cool.
I've never really played a whole game on it though

But you know what i mean.... Games keep evolving, in the sense of better graphics, maybe newer concepts.

But now in days it's all about marketing, what will fly off the shelves. The love that was put in video games is dead.

I remember the joyful feeling of having mario bounce on a goomba's head, or shooting a duck in Duck Hunt.

Now in days, the love is gone. They've run out of ideas. They recycle old ideas and just add better graphics and styalize it better.

Fine, sony is where it's at. Sony has been where it's at for nearly 10 years now.
But why would one care if your psp plays music and movies?

If i want to watch a movie, i'd rather relax on a couch and watch it on a big screen. Same with music, i like my stereo. I don't think having a psp will make the experience better or even more convenient for that matter.

I used to love Duckhunt, I couldnt ever hit the freaking ducks though, so I would get REAL close so I would win

Oh you're right!! I'm not going to be watching movies or videos on the PSP and I have a mini disc player so I won't be listen to music on it either. But the games are incredible!!

But it's still neat that you can buy movies and transfer videos to the PSP- say if you're taking a long car trip. You would have movies, music and games all at your finger tips in one device.

I'd love both PSP and DS, but I think the touch screen will be used to good effect soon, and already has witht he kirby game I've mentioned.

Apparantly, a GBA advance 2 will compete against the PSP.
