My thirteen year old child is as skinny as a rail and he has a lump under his left breast. My poor baby is in pain and his little man chest has one nipple sticking out. What the fuck is that? Is this normal for boys? I am trying to stay calm but it is not working. I just told my baby he can forget about school tommorrow and now he is worried. This knot is hard and he says it hurts. Should I rush him to the emergency room or what?

It is most likely a gland that is swollen. I seem to recall a similar thing happened to me as a boy.

Take him to the doctor but dont panic, it's no emergency. It will be fine.

That it was a swollen gland. Your boy is right smack bang in the early stages of puberty and alot is going on in that body of his. People have glands located under there nipples and for some reason they can swell up.

I actually think the doctor didn't do anything but said to wait for it to go away on its own, which it did.

and since its been there since december, dont you just love kids when they wait forever to tell you this shit ???, i would hang tight till tomorrow and then definately get him in to see someone

i would say its fine though, much harder on the momma than the baby hope all goes well for both of you

Don't panic! (or waste your time asking ppl for advice) just take him to a doctor!
