I know!!!! I'm a bit late in seeing this.....but this movie really surprised me. I was just expecting the old girl hires trainer, girl wins title and girl lives happly ever after...but it was sooooo not what I was expecting.

It was really sad towards the end.

What did you guys think of it?

okay its on my list, i really liked hillary swank in 'boys don't cry', so i'm looking forward to this

When it turned into a "tear jerker" I was like, "Who Cares?!" I mean, the characters were not really that likeable at that point and who can really get into another boxing movie? There was only one Rocky! Clint looks old as dirt and does anyone really like Hillary Swank? Just my opinion. Just because it got the audience to cry after the 'sudden twist', doesn't mean it deserves an Oscar. Go see Hotel Rwanda if you want real tears.

Haven't seen it but did see The Hostage on Sat night with Bruce Willis ...I really enjoyed it!!!

As for Million Dollar Baby, I'm in complete agreement, althom! I think the marketing for this movie helped quite a bit. You go in kinda expecting just a chick boxing movie and that's SO not what the movie is about.

Million dollar baby is great, and Boys don't cry is amazing. Makes me want to fuck a girl. Or not? Ok, this was cheap, but I mean it, Hillary Swank is a very interesting actress.
