There are many ways people have given their lives; wars, defending their beliefs, protecting loved ones, etc. However; if you were given the choice, would you really give your life for another human being?

Only if I'm more useful dead than alive. When it comes to defending one's beliefs I think people are of much more use when they're alive.

In case of a war I could give my life for my country, but it would depend on whether or not I'd have a partner/family of my own.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head I'd give my life for. But I that's cause I don't have to. I think this is one of those things where you don't truly know until you're in a situation to make that decision.

My children and my best friend. Without question.

i feel relaxed because essentially i don't have any ties. If i did have children, i imagine i'd be rather more reluctant to give my life for a stranger, but it'd depend on the circumstances.

My family, after ignoring me most of my life.... no.
I have no kids, and wouldn't give my life for a stranger.

Call me self-centered but no i would never give my life for anything or anybody
