Anyone else find this ridiculous? It's not like anyone's waiting for me to be sitting at my desk at 8:30 on the dot....so annoying...

How much grace time should someone get?

Im always about 12-15 minutes late..... doesnt matter what time I leave my house, traffic is bad and getting worse. By the time I drop off my kids at school and the dog at my dad's im late.....

I had a boss like that too. Nothing for me to do...yes quite annoying...seeing as there is no RULE and others come in much later than me. BTW...these folks take being on time seriously! Your review and performance are getting judged. Esp f you are always 5 min late or 10 all the time.

I like where I am now. I am here before both of my bosses who are always running late. I also eat lunch at my desk and go home at 5:30...so no one cares really...and that's just how I like it.

Though I am always geeky freaky about getting here as that previous boss made me paranoid.

why not just be on time , and not let anyone get under your skin ?

The next time you're late and your boss makes a big deal out of it, just tell her she ain't paying you enough to put up with her crap.

i hate when they do that. unfortunately my job does require that i be there on time everyday because people really are waiting to get in - still doesn't make a difference because i don't get there on time very often. our supervisor doesn't always talk to us about any problems until we have our reviews.

I just tell my boss I have women's problems.

That shuts him up!
