alright, damn !!!!

kids were sooooo happy this morning, got up singing and dancing all over the house.... the dog was on its way today then the phone rang



im so sorry to have to let you know, im sending the dog to live with my sister instead talk about WATCHING your childrens hearts break WTF kinda shit is this ???? any mother out there would want to fix their babies hearts right away, right ??? so, here i go doing something SOOOOO bi-polar is just nuts


i just wanted to show my babies that i could find another dog when the time was right, and that Molly wasnt the ONLY dog out there that needed a good home... i tried to bring humor in, but they were just to sad so, i saw another ad out there, and made a call. THIS TIME, i kicked them out of the room so they wouldnt know anything.


the family is moving, and cannot take thier dogs, they are Pembroke Welsh Corgi's.... much smaller than a lab, top out at about 25 lbs. the girl and i were talking, i told her about what the kids had JUST been through... told them about our family a bit... blah, blah, blah, having just gone through this, i was less than excited. anyway, she invited us out to have a look and said we sounded like the type of family that would really be good for them.... so, we drove out.

we got there to see the babies, they are just over a year, have both been fixed, all shots until next december, kennel trained, house broken... you name it, it was all like i had just heard about Molly

so, the kids took the pups for a walk, and the adults and i talked.... they said, we were originally going to ask for $$$ for the dogs, but you are ideal... and IF you would be willing to keep them together - not separate the brother/sister, we are willing to give them to you at no charge. along with the kennel, meds for heartworms - fleas and whatnot.

i thought it over, the kids and i talked, long story short.... now i have 2 babies instead of one and BOTH of my real babies are smiling bigger than ever as now they each have someone to call their own. me, im taking more valium as i think i dont know what the fuck im doing

OMG! I can't believe that the owner of the black lab decided at the last minute to give the dog to her sister. How cold is that? And your poor kids had to hear the bad news, I know it broke their hearts big time when you told them that the dog was not coming to live with you.

BUT, it sounds like it worked out for the best, because you were lucky in that you found a woman who had two Welsh Corgis who was willing to give them to you free. As everybody knows, it is unusual for a person who is looking for a pet to find someone who is willing to give away an animal free of charge. Most times, even people who are giving away a mixed breed cat charge money for it.

I'm glad it worked out for you, the dogs are adorable! They are the kind of dogs that you just want to cuddle and spoil rotten. Ozzy and Harriet are cute names too.

yeah, that guy talk about wanting to climb through the phone and kick someones ass what a DICK !!!! but, you know, he's young - he doesnt have children of his own yet, so he has NO idea what he did to my babies so, i have to give him credit on that one...

AND my prior question, is this fate or should i walk away ??? i think all this happened for a reason think about it, 75-80 lb dog... or two 25 lb dogs ??? i still think the lab woulda eaten more and there is no way my baby girl would be able to walk that lab - unless he was really leash trained.


and yes, the giving them to me free thing ??? most people arent that way this day and age. its always, what do i get out of it ?? these were 2 of the sweetest people ive ever met it wasnt just the dogs... but 2 HUGE kennels, the most adorable food and water bowls (those things weren't cheap either ), all the meds that go with them - Advantage flea treatments for the entire summer - heartworm meds for the next 2 months, a brush, a toothbrush and toothpaste , 2 big books about dogs and training, a big bag of bones, three bags of treats, a huge bag of dog food, collars, leashes, they're both registered (which i dont care about, you know that joke 'yeah, my dogs got papers, so what - put them down she pees on them' ), the shot/spay/neuter records .....

IM TELLIN YA, THEY REALLY SET US UP !!!

we talked last night, they asked how things were going for us, they emailed late last night... they are just the sweetest !! actually, they said, we loved your kids - thought they were beautiful... and we think you are awesome, its a shame we are moving soon, we'd love to get together with you sometime .... how sweet is that ?

anyway, yeah, stuff works out nan, but, damn, yesterday i thought i was gonna watch both of my babies lose it for a minute there NOT a good couple hours for mommy

but, all is well now
