BIG DEAL!!! Well my husband has finally received a letter from the Jobseekers Allowance people regarding his claim and they have told him that hes only getting £65 a week!! Not even any mention of back pay for the 6 weeks - 2 months we have had 2 wait for a reply!! ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!!!!! | |

There are thousands of workers at the Rover plant in Longbridge, Birmingham, who are on the verge of redundancy as the business they have worked to support (in many cases in excess of 40 years) is falling apart around them. This will have a disastrous effect on the local economy and will probably mean that hard-working, family men and women may lose their houses/ retirement hopes etc. | |

There are thousands of workers at the Rover plant in Longbridge, Birmingham, who are on the verge of redundancy as the business they have worked to support (in many cases in excess of 40 years) is falling apart around them. This will have a disastrous effect on the local economy and will probably mean that hard-working, family men and women may lose their houses/ retirement hopes etc. When my husband flew back 2 the USA February of last year 2 go and see his dying mother, he noticed that Colorado was booming!! He said that construction and industry was escalating and and he noticed in the papers there LOADS of openings for work and employment!! This is the main reason we are heading back cos we can see that the UK is going down the shitpan!! | |
