Thinking about moving, I get soo many emotions going inside of me. On one hand, the idea of moving to a new city excites me, on the other hand, the thought of moving so far away from my parents and friends, having to find my way around, learn where everything is, scares me to death! But other people I know have done it and have survived, so it can't be that hard. I just have to think positive and put my best foot forward, tell myself, "You can do it."

My poor mom, when I told her that I was going down to Charlotte for a week or two to look for a job, she looked so upset! I know that she and my dad will probably start praying even harder so that I find a job here locally, so I don't have to move. But, as everyone keeps telling me, I have to do what's right for me, and if I don't try, I'm not going to know, right?

I got my hair cut yesterday, and was telling my hairdresser about it too. She said, "Don't you feel bad about leaving?" I said, "Well, yeah, but there's no jobs here." I was talking to another lady who was looking for a job at the same employment agency that I was at. She was telling me she had been looking for a job for the last 1 1/2 years! She also said that everybody she knew who was out of a job looking had been job searching for the last 1 1/2 - 2 years!! omg disbelief Can you believe it? I told my hairdresser what the woman had told me, and she acted like she had heard the same thing. She also told me about a man, who was the husband of one of her clients, who had a 4-year medical degree, and he couldn't even find a job! Now you know it's pretty bad out there when people (even those with a higher education) can't even find a decent job.

Personally, I can't wait much longer to find something, since I have already been out of work for the last 8 months. After this week, my unemployment gets cut off, and I'm going to have to live on my savings. I don't really want to do that, which is what really got me thinking about looking out of state. As much as it makes me nervous to do it, sometimes you have to break out of your "comfort zone", spread your wings, and try something new.
