I was at lunch and walking past a Catholic church 2 blocks from my job. I looked over and saw a little old lady struggling to get out. She had a walker and she couldn't get the walker out and hold the door open at the same time. Every time she would push the heavy door open to push her walker through it would just shut as she was gripping the handles to move her walker.

I ran over and held the door open with one hand and pulled the walker out with the other. She just looked at me with the biggest smile and said "Thank you". I helped her down the steps and then she was off, shuffling away on this beautiful sunny California day.

I like doing nice things!

It's sad when you can open doors for people and they look at your surprised.

I even stopped opening car doors while moving to throw them out.

There's nothing wrong with being nice and telling others about it.
I find that most ppl here in Florida are thrown off whenever I do something nice like hold the door open or help someone out. It is sad that ppl do not know how to act when someone is being nice to them.
Oh well, it is just my nature to do things for others, usually I do not even think about it, I just do it.
