I had a friend who turned 30 last year and he went in a mad depression for about 3 months pretty much wrecking people he love. He turn to drugs trying to make himself feel younger and now he is suffering for it. He regrets it now and now that he is 31 he cares less now, He said after 30 who cares the numbers will just pile up now.

My supervisor told me when she turned 30 she cried in her las vegas hotel for 2 nights straight. Am i invited to your party? I need friends to hang around with or something since my ex left me until they come back. I be a good boy.

Relax, Carrie -- you don't have to figure everything out. You just have to have fun trying. When I turned thirty, I was working in the information technology field as a consultant. Now, five years later, I'm teaching, considering going to law school -- and I still haven't figured everything out. But I'm making progress. smile

I can say that I'm having more fun now than I ever did in my 20s. I also don't feel as though I'm in a hurry to solve all of life's mysteries.

Just another perspective added to the mix... cool

glad you figured it all out.

I think you should leave it up to your friends and family to do something great and surprise you!

Yeah so, money doesn't make u happy, if u not with the one u love u miserable. I didn't win lottery, just a 5 dollar scratchoff for 20,000. after taxes it was only 12, 371 something like that. Had to pay a 290 ticket with it too. I already had money cause i have a good job. I need friends cause Sunday i was all alone, depressed, and horny until god answered my prayers and it was my supposely ex call and spent the day out together. I can't keep doing this every weekend or day. I need to start getting out.

That would be ideal! Except no one ever does anything for anyone else's bday in my group of friends. It's sorta the rule that if you wanna do anything you haveta plan it yourself. pout
But I think I should get a fabulous something or other. I don't think its too much to ask. I attend their weddings, their graduations, their housewarmings, their baby showers. Since I don't plan on getting married or having children, someone should do something nice for me for turning 30. Don't you think??

Yes I do think so! You should just tell them that you can't think of anything to do and it's your 30th so it has to be fabulous and you would love to be surprised! If they are good friends they'll do it!
