PATIENCE: Where does it come from? Where can I buy some?

What do ya do when you're in a situation where you've done a bunch of stuff to hopefully make your life better and more interesting and more promising, and you're at a point where everything is out of your hands and you just have to WAIT for the results?

I'm mostly talking about job stuff. I've done a lot of interviewing lately. I have a couple of possibilities as a result, and both of those possibilities will make my life better. But I have to WAIT for people to make their decisions. Meanwhile, my work situation now sucks. It's like the bottom falls out more every day and people's standards are just going farther and farther down the tubes, and I don't want to be part of it, and as a result I've been dealing with a lot of bad vibes and alienation and I loathe coming to work and I'm miserable eight hours a day.

I've sent out my lifelines, and I've been given some really promising indications that good things are going to come back to me. But it's gonna take a while for those good things to get here. Meanwhile, I'm trapped in a Hieronymous Bosch painting every day.

My sweetie told me I need to work out every day, that the exercise will wear away the stress and tension, and the endorpins will make me less depressed. It helps. I just hate when I want to make a necessary change and I have to wait and depend on other people to help make it happen.

I feel myself getting a little bit more neurotic and depressed the longer I have to stay in my present situation. How do people hold on in a situation where they have to deal with considerable dread on a daily basis?

people deal with much worse stuff than i'm having to deal with, and i know that, but that fact doesn't make what i'm dealing with any more pleasant.

I think all the worrying you're doing, although unfortunate, will make the fabulous results even better.

I actually said fabulous.....

I wish you luck.

When i was about 9 yearz old i was naggin my uncle for sumfinz, and he told me 'patience is da mother of all virtuez'. Now i pretty much stuck my tongue out on dat back thenz lol but it kinda etched itz meaning in2 my subconscience.

I mean speakin for myselfz, i get quite itchy for stuff 2 happenz but at da same time i know dat if i wait, i'll be far more appreciative once i get what i want. We live in a society where we get thingz instantaneously...it startz 2 lose it'z true meaningz. Greed takez overz and you can actually start 2 feel empty I feel!!

So keep at it- perseverence along wif patience is a strength- ofcourse you gonna have your momentz where you fall weak 2 this, but dat is only human naturez...maintaining balance between these two elementz is da key. It'z hard but it'z good life training nod
