This shot got me in a bit of trouble. Sweeny said catch Byron shooting that piece. So I steady my hand by grabing the marble table in the corner of the shot.

It was really great to walk in and see a Jackson Pollock! Its a piece of art you are so familiar with.

]They are dumbing down these photos so severly I hesitate to put this one in here.

It was my first Rembrandt. I adore him as an artist.
What was most unbelievable was you were able to walk right up and stick our nose an inch from the paint. (No glass in front of the work either!)

Yours was Rembrandt...mine was seeing this Cezanne up close and personal. He's always been my favorite, I love how he captures his models. They seem both spontaneous and staged.



Cezanne was known for not liking models, he felt they moved too much while posing.
He wanted them to be as still as apples and fruit for hours at a time.
