For U Ravers and LateNight Partygoers....I was drugged. I was hanging at an afterhours club last week and allowed a dude I went there with to order me a drink, he brought it to me and I felt weird almost immediately. Now knowing my threshhold when it comes to drinking; I immediately removed myself and went up some stairs to try and regain my faculties. Another friend was ready to go and I got up and walked outside. I got in my truck and made a phonecall feeling ok, and started my truck. I turned the corner, and blacked out instantaneously!! I wrecked into another van in less than two minutes after starting my damn car! I know my body and I know when I get sleepy I can feel it creeping up on me. I don't just black out!

Glad you're okay. Sounds like GHB. When I was given it I was fine one minute and blacked/passed out the next.
It amazes me how many women (men do it too, I know, but I see more women do this than men) will leave their drinks on the bar or table and then go to the bathroom or allow a guy they don't know to buy them one and bring it over. Never leave your drink unattended and never accept a drink except from the server or bartender... or a friend you trust. . [Edited 3/30/05 13:15pm] | |

It's so scary! 2 of my friends have been dosed without their knowledge over the last few years. One with acid, one with what we assume was GHB. I do my best to always keep an eye on my drink but things can still happen. Glad you're alright!! |

That's harsh. Good thing you and nobody else got hurt.
A couple of months ago I was in a small cafe in Bangkok with my wife. She ordered a banana milkshake and after one sip complained that it tasted strange. I took a sip of it and it tasted very sweet, like aniseed, but I didn't think too much of it. I drank pretty much the whole glass and we left. Within walking maybe 100 metres out on to the main street to get a taxi I began feeling really dizzy and my legs were going all wobbly! We got in a taxi and I feeling really strange all the way home and wasn't back to normal for a few hours after that. It was pretty frightening when I was walking to suddenly lose all my co-ordination like that. I have no idea what they put in that drink but we're definitely not going back there!  | |
