I recently ran across some interesting info on circumcision on the site below. I'd also read an article about a couple of Rabbi's that are trying to start a movement to stop it. Can't remember if it was linked from this page or not...

http://www.mgmbill.org/faq.htm (some links are graphic and NSFW)

The world origins of circumcision are unknown. However, circumcision began in the United States in the late 1800's largely because some doctors thought that it prevented masturbation, which at the time was thought to be harmful. But once that and other myths were proven wrong, new reasons were created to perpetuate circumcision, most notably that a circumcised penis is more "hygienic" than an intact penis. Other reasons that are used to justify circumcision include flawed studies suggesting that it protects against disease, that it makes boys look the same as their fathers or others in their community, and for religious reasons. Medicaid reimbursement for circumcision in thirty-six states also provides financial incentives for circumcision.

So in other words, they thought if they cut away so many nerve endings, masturbation wouldn't be as pleasurable. I think I remember reading that 100,000s of nerve endings are lost. Check out the links on that page also,
it says that 15 square inches of skin is cut...holy weenie.

I'm circumcised, and glad. My penis looks great and I honestly don't think I would want that dangly piece of sking hanging there, but then again, I can't be certain. What I do know is that it still feels hella good during intercourse and I couldn't imagine it feeling much better. I have no recolection of the procedure and don't see how any1 could.

For one thing, I haven't seen one that dangles, but maybe if it was a little peter it could. lol

But, did you actually read any of the info/links on that page? It interesting to know what differences there are and shows how important the foreskin really is. Most men don't read up on it, guess they maybe don't want to know what they've lost? I don't get why guys think it's ok to mangle their most prized part. nuts
