Drunk Again Okay... I've been in a near-constant state of innebriation for about two months right now.
And you know what? It's been good for me - mentally and spiritually. I'm drunk right now. But my physical health has suffered. I caught the 'flu last week. I never really get bugs... My wallet's suffered - I am in the poor-zone again. I really have spent all my shopping money for the month, on going out. Erm... That's it. I got down to 11 and a half stones in December but now I'm nearly thirteen stones again. I always look fat anyway because I've got a really bad over-bite which renders me jaw-less. But my tummy's gone from 33" to 36". ... I'm not asking for advice or validation. I just want you all to know that I'm drinking so much that being sober feels illusionary. I like being drunk. Yeah, I am asking for validation. I'm drunk every day. My friends drink every day. I don't mean a beer or two. I mean a bottle of red wine as an apertif and then seven or eight pints of beer. I used to get hangovers but now I just get a spacey feeling when I wake up. I'm spaced-out at work but when I'm not in work, I'm drunk. It's making me poor again. Everything is fine except that I'm running out of money until next payday again. I was really on top of things. I just like being drunk.

I was like this for about 6 months until the pudding gang, I believe, saved my life.
I know that mode you're in, where u thrill to your excesses and actually enjoy descending deeper and deeper. At some point it gets dull and u become ill though.

I've already gotten ill, coz I got the 'flu this week. I don't know what's going on. I'm unsure if I'm resuming unfinished business. Am I too old, to like... care??? I don't know. I'm 33 in August. Dansa, Muffin. We can have a large chocolate soy shake - with a drop of brandy in it.

The flu is one thing but you'll likely get something more painful than that which'll make drinking a pretty horrible experience.

I have been hitting the bottle a bit hard myself lately, I now have the flu, which has caused 1 week of sobriety, and I leave my country in 3 days time ( I will be drunk chick on the Air Tahiti fight 2 LA wearing the New Zealand shirt)
CHEERS Be Joyful | |

CHEERS You know, being drunk on planes and in airports isn't the safest thing to do.

Don't worry, my beloved will be at the airport 2 meet me (and carry me if necessary) It's all good Be Joyful

i don't get drunk like i used to. mainly because my sweetie doesn't drink or drug or smoke at all, or when he does he's messed up and ready to be taken proper advantage of by the time he's had his second sip. sometimes i just have to get lit, though.

If you wasn't someplace in Oceania right now, I'd ask you to come for a drink. It's 4:51 am in England. I've had a weird night.

Hmm... I don't know that phraseology. You're not a slave to the bong, are you, Muffin?

I don't know what I'm doing anymore. I really don't. When you're young, you assume that life is some kind of puzzle that you'll be able to figure out some day... As you get older, you realise that other people are puzzling but you are all figured out. The same stuff keeps happening over and over.

It's a non-smoking flight unfortunately, hence the NEED 2 drink. 14 hours with a short stop in Tahiti, where I intend 2 beg and plead 2 be let off the plane 2 fill my lungs and regain my sanity (a little) Be Joyful

I'm having trouble getting the 'v' after the 'k' without a vowel slipping in there. Gosh. First crunk and now kvetch. I'm so out of the loop.

The reason you're getting the spacey feeling and other symptoms is that you're officially into the realm of an alcoholic and you're losing tons of brain cells.
Eventually your liver will fail and you'll be dead. In the meantime, I'd suggest that you try MODERATION. People who are addicted to something are usually unhappy in some way. I suggest some therapy and abstinence from alcohol for a while. Hey maybe try pot for a few days instead, or better yet, NO substances and some form of exercise.

I'm awake again now. I'm okay. Honestly. I'm going to have a cup of weak tea with a slice of lemon, some toast and a vitamin pill.

I look away for two minutes and everybody gets drunk and changes their avatarpics. Anyway, I'm just looking in for a second to tell you all that I miss you - some in particular, like Binary, Pandoo and GooeyHamsterHuey. But work is keeping me extremely busy. I've worked 70 hours so far this week alone as we approach the big event the PR firm, which I'm working at, is currently occupied with. Things'll cool back don a bit in about a week or two, and then I'll be back some more, so don't go anywhere! (And talking 'bout drinks, I sure could use a stiff one! I'm exHAUSted and feel utterly stressed out...
