I agree. There are times when it adds force to a statement, and at other times humour.

I think the best thing is for me to apologise to anyone I've offended by being charming, witty and intelligent (oh, and British) and for you to lock up the thread. I'll go and ply my wares over at NPGMC. They seem like open-minded folks. smile

The self adorations are questionable at best as I have yet to evidence of any of them, either wholly or in parts. As to the question posed, you yourself admitted to using said vocabulary, yet you insist on toting this self righteousness and lookind down your nose at those who've called you out on it.
