No. But it falls on a Sunday, and that is what I do on Sundays.
I'm not a religious fanatic or anything.

I mostly go there becuase they offer cheap authentic Thai Food, and it feels like Little Thailand in the states. ALmost like taking a short vacation.

I'm going to my friend Christine's house for dinner. First year I won't be spending it with my family! It's all good though, this family is so chaotic and hysterical there will not be a dull moment!

Geez...my Easter is not as exciting (or R-rated) as some of you all's;

First we go to church.

Then we come home and I hide eggs in the backyard so the kids can think that the Easter Bunny stopped by while we were out and they go on an Easter egg hunt.

Then we go to Chili's for brunch.

I'll be shouting at my kids for not eating there dinner and eating too much chocolate

getting flumoxed when they want me to explain the easter bunny thing

and then spending the night comforting the little angels when they have had too much chocolate and the belly ache sets in.

I just witness my newphews hunt easter egss.

Let me set the scene:

My sister waited till the last minute, and only had a dozen eggs to die.
So she died them this morning, and one of the eggs dropped and cracked.

sooooo, she hid 11 eggs today in the yard.
It was just before the egg hunt that she realized she didn't have easter baskets
for the kids, so she had them walking the yard looking for 11 eggs who's dye was still porbably wet, with plastic walmart bags in their hands.
disbelief

And to make matters worse, they bickered and argued with each other about who had the most eggs, and whether spotting the egg meant you had soulr rights to the egg, or if the true momment of "egg ownership" came when you touched the egg.

It got ugly. disbelief

You can't make this stuff up:

We hide plastic eggs filled with candy in the backyard for the kids every year.

So I was up at the crack of dawn (ok...so it was more like 6:30am...) to hide them before the kids woke up.

We go to church. Then we go to brunch (usually we do the egg hunt after church, but then they fill up with candy and don't eat, so we did brunch first).

We came home and they went to the backyard to hunt for their eggs.

The eggs are there. But they are nearly all EMPTY!!! Seems that a squirrel with a sweet tooth got to them first. mad 2 or 3 had been gnawed through, then the rest were actually opened apart (I guess they learn fast).

Fortunately, I had placed some in bushes that the squirrel couldn't reach, so they still had candy.

...And did I mention that they took a bunny-shaped egg hostage? I had three and only 2 remained. I can only image what they did with it. boff

I worked each day of the 4 day break, but took time out for a family lunch on Saturday and after that the kids did their easter egg hunt which was a success - the chocolate eggs didn't even melt even though the sun was pretty hot out there! The kids were happy and I was relaxed. Great! biggrin

My Easter Weekend...hmmmm...
Well I started it by getting sick sad
I worked all night on Friday...spent Saturday with my bestfriend who is moving back to TO this Sat bawl
Sunday morning I had breakfast with the parents and some family then headed off to work for the afternoon and evening where I got to entertain some of the most adorable lil kids all dressed in cute Sunday Best outfits smile Then I went and spent the night with my friends and relaxed sprawled out on the couch. It was a pretty decent weekend even tho I was to busy at work to be at the family dinner.
