Kid, I'm way ahead of my game. biggrin

You mentioned Doom. Did you start off on Wolfenstein? In fact isn't there a cheat in Doom that gives you a Wolfenstein level? Doom was ACE...I remember at uni there'd be about 10 of us up all night in the comp. sci. lab fighting each other cloud9

Yeah Descent was cool! Also the original half-life thumbs up! I also spent a lot of time on Sim City when it first came out, before games like Syndicate and then Age of Empires took over.

Now it's all MMRPG's pout I was addicted to NWN for MONTHS and eventually had uninstall and bin the disks as it got too much. Those games are EVIL.

Yes Castle W. Was ok...a bit too samey on the graphics though. I just played the demo of Doom. There was this doom like game that you connected to other players on the net and tried to wipe each other out. It wasn't halo...QUAKE!!! that's it.

I played sim city so much that I could close my eyes and still see the screen. It was hard sleeping.

I have to say I like 4 player vs 1 player games.

No it's the other way around...PC now Game Cube.

My beefs with GCN are there are no Adult games that don't involve military. One of my favorites was System Shock...which was a RPG Sci-fi. I like more puzzles and figuring things out than I am with Bosses and crap like that. Really tricky moves needed...I am not good at either...ala SOnic and Zelda. I found Metriod Prime VERY hard. ALso all of the 4 player are for kids...including the Mario Parties. There's nothing even close to a Myst or anything like that. Nothing terribly intriguing. GCN goes for Sure Fire Hits.

There is also more games for other platforms too.

wow--you talk alot.

If it weren't for Larry Laffer, I'd still be a virgin. I loved every single one of the Larry games...minus the latest one, "Magna Cum Laude." which sucks harder than Toledo, Ohio...

If you love the Larry of old, DO NOT play the new version. It's flat-out terrible. They were supposed to make a Larry movie back in the late '80s. Danny DeVito was rumoured to be in talk to play Larry.

Fifa for me,

Me and my mates love going on the old fifas (as in 2001) and hearing the commentary between Ally McCoist and John Motson. Ally must say "he must socre" about every 30 seconds or so.

Get this game. U wackos on here would love it. It is very off the wall and zany. A must have multiplayer game.

Nintendo make the best multiplayers period. Thats why I own a gamecube over a PS2 or X box.

Zelda was cool too, but I've only played it on my game-boy...

God - there was so many.

I used to like Daley Thompson's Decathlon too because halfway through loading, it would start playing a SID-chip version of "The Age Of Aquarius".

maybe it's because of my age, but nothin' beats the original Super Mario Bros, imo. I still play it. giggle I still have a bunch of old games like Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, RoboCop (giggle). My aunt worked at Blockbuster, so she was able to get us games for free. I used to like playin' Guerilla War with my brother....I used to always get killed first and he'd have to fight by himself.
It used to be this wrestling game we used to play al ot, but I forgot the name....Animal and Hawk from WCW used to be on it.

I agree with you on Mario Kart. It's better when you have 4 people playing.

"Super Shinobi" ("Revenge of Shinobi" in Europe), Sega Mega Drive, 1990.

Great graphics and gameplay, thrilling levels, overwhelming atmosphere and probably the best music a video game ever had.

For ye old amiga it was! The first game i got as a young klid that made me think a little. I can still hum the theme tune as it was constantly repeated over and over again and I'd spend hours on this game trying to figure the damn puzzles out.

The music never changed throughout the game. I loved the old fashioned score though.
