Most of the workforce here are saddened because of the tragedy related in the news report below. The toddler was Mike Davis's grandson and we've seen the little fellow numerous times in the office visiting his granddad. A sad and unfortunate incident. Brings out feelings of helplessness to some degree in me. As much as I'd like to think that my family is protected from violence, it could happen at any time. Just thinking about a lot of things. Do my kids know that I love them? Have I told them enought that I'm proud of them? I think of these things often, the closeness of the event just enhances my thoughts of these things.

Toddler Found Dead
Madison County Sheriff's deputies are still waiting on autopsy results after a toddler was found dead over the weekend.

20 month old Nicholas Vega was discovered not breathing at the Mintz Family Carehome where his mother lived and worked.

News 13 has learned the child's mother's live-in boyfriend is in custody on unrelated charges.

24 year old Jason Boltas is in the Madison County Jail on felony warrants out of Maine where he is wanted for assault and probation violations.

As for this case, no one faces criminal charges yet,

Sheriff John Ledford says they arent sure how the baby died until those autopsy results come in.

The autopsy is taking place in Winston-Salem and should be completed sometime this afternoon.

mach These things are so incomprehensible. When you see kids dying for no good reason, it's just awful. It really does hit home the point that we should always be connected to those we love while we have the opportunity.
