Things to see in London:

Tower Bridge. (The bridge that America THOUGHT it was buying).
Crown Jewels. (Just to remind you of Britain’s vast unspendable wealth)
London Eye (to demonstrate that not every city should be laid out in grid form)
West End (not to be confused with the East End)
Oxford Street (to experience the true meaning of human grid-lock)
Black Cab (to experience the true meaning of extortionate grid-lock)
Unlicenced Cab (to experience TRUE multiculturalism… Oh…. And to get lost)
Buckingham Palace (Next to the Beckham’s, see the second grandest palace in England)
Stamford Bridge (See THE lowest common denominator in football)
Highbury (See the second lowest common denominator in football)
White Hart Lane (Now we’re talking!)
You should go and see our great collection of wax in human form.

Oh…. And Cricklewood!

Just don’t forget your brolly….

Now you're just scaring me. boxed

Tate Modern

Ummmm... Canary Wharf is sort of intriguing. It's very clean compared to the rest of London. It sort of looks like Metropolis in the Superman movies.

Old Compton Street and Soho

It doesn't look like much upon first view but the bars here are good.

Nice picks! I forgot about the Tate Modern doh! that was round my neck of the woods as well.

Other places you should really visit if you're in London:

- the various museums in Kensington (particularly the Nat. Hist. and Science)
- the Parks round that ways as well (Hyde particularly)
- Camden Market
- Borough Food Market (my old woods) thumbs up!
- 'Lunchenette' sandwich bar down borough hight street biggrin
- for live music a safe bet is jazz cafe in camden
- for clubbing, NOWHERE off leicester square mad if you're not really into clubbing, go to Fabric giggle or if you want a particular type of music let me know smile

cry now I feel home sick

Thanks. thumbs up!

I'm not really into hardcore clubbing (at least not anymore, and certainly not by myself). I'd love to see some bands play though. I feel it's a safe thing to do when you're a female traveling by yourself. Because then you can go out in the evening, and still have something to watch while you have a drink. I'd rather not be bothered by any meat-market sorts of places. lol

Fear thee not... Whilst walking our streets you will no doubt hear many forms of our alien languages...

Just remember... when someone asks you "Alright?", it is not a question, it is a greeting. The response should be "Alright?", and then go on your way about your business lest you end up conversing... biggrin

No you wouldn't have. Not unless you were EXTREMELY lucky. lol The internet was completely jammed on all the sites selling tix for this the day they went on sale. They're doing 4 shows, and they all sold out in about and hour. I didn't even get a ticket at first because even with 4 internet windows open, I couldn't even get to the site it was so busy.

I just happened to be contacted a week later by someone who was willing to sell me a ticket they had. woot! People are paying up to almost 1,000 pounds to get the best seats. wacky

Anyway, I am so excited!

WHY?! It'll only get filmed and milked to death as a CD/DVD spin-off. People are worried that they'll miss out? Fret not, you'll have every chance to see Cream's performance, I guarantee it nod

Yeah, well I WILL see them. Live. Becuse I got a ticket. lol It's a once in a lifetime chance to be there, because they broke up in 1968 and haven't played at the Royal Albert Hall since '68.

Cream edit woot!

I meant the people who are getting all worked up and paying £1000 for a ticket - could ANY gig possibly be worth that much? Especially in this day and age of live DVDs.

I don't know who would pay that much. I do know that a lot of Japanese fans were bidding on the high price ones though. biggrin
