any Canucks here use Telefile??? hey guys...i just used Telefile to file Income Tax for this year. i have a few concerns. at the end of the 'session' it didn't give me any totals...is this normal. it also didn't give me the option to enter MY calculation for either a refund or balance owing. please somebody quell my fears that i made an error or 6. f@*k i hate tax time. i just didn't want to wait 8 weeks for my refund and apparently Telefile only takes 2 weeks max. has anybody used this system...and had success???

Federal or state?
If it's federal, you don't have to enter your calculations, it's computed by the numbers you enter from your W2. Though, it should've told you what you're getting back or what you owe. Did you write down your confirmation number?

Did you write down your confirmation number? Canada. i did all my calculations 3 times. entered all the info it requested and it said it will calculate my return, gave me a confirmation number and disconnected. you're only as old as you feel..............so how old do i feel

yeah i have lillith... never had any problems with it. quick and easy. i tend to wait till april to file so the refund takes a bit longer to process
it just collects the necessary information and then makes all the calculations. no worries... i'm sure they will arrive at the same figure you have. haven't filed yet this year so can't remember the details of how it finishes... it does give you a confirmation number or something indicating that your information was collected. did you get that confirmation message?? i'm sure there is a number to call to double check if you are still concerned.

Might be slightly different from America, but if you have a confirmation number you should be cool.
Like emm said, keep your paper work in case something went wrong.

( income tax appointment this Saturday) i would prefer not to pay a percentage of my refund for someone else to do my taxes. i have done my own every year...they aren't very complicated (i don't have much to claim...just the usual, RRSP, child care). i talked to someone at H&R Block and it was something like 10%!!!!! to hell with that!!! it would be one thing if my refund was $100...no problem. but on a high return i have better things to do with the money!!! good luck on your appointment edit...may the force be with you.
