The Makeover Generation

Is it me? Well, it's not me. But it seems like everything on TV and in pop culture nowadays is about makeovers: make me over, make my face over, make my body over, my house over, my clothes, my epidermy!

Plastic surgery is as common as a McDonalds in your neighborhood. I remember when people used to hide the fact that they were getting plastic surgery, now it's like whatever.

What do you think about all these makeovers? From ambush to extreme. Do you think it's a sign that we're not secure with ourselves? Is it because we're obsessed with youth? Afraid of getting old?

"not" to "now" edit.

It's a little bit of everything. I think because it's more affordeable and accepted now, people are doing it. If I could I would replace my head (the one on my shoulders) with a new one.

I don't even need plastic surgery, but I've starting thinking about a nose job a few years ago. I laugh now because I WILL NOT do that. Everyone I talk to loves my nose and when I talk about getting an extreme makeover they're like "are you crazy, you ARE the after picture."
