I saw The Ring 2 last night and it was a total thrill ride. It was even better than the first. It has awesome special effects, awesome imagery, and a very well written and acted story.Sissy Spacek has a role in the film and she is as wonderfully creepy and odd as always. This is a MUST SEE film. This is one of the best horror films that Ive seen in a long long time.

Somehow a teenager gets a copy of the tape. This film isnt about the videotape as much as the first one is. I had a blast watching this movie last night though. I reccomend it. I dont want to give away the movie too much for those who havent seen it.

the original scared me half to death. i was sleeping with the lights on for months! i think i'll have to pass on this one.

The ring is based off a japaneese film called Ringu. There were 3 installments. The first one, the sequel, and then the prequel about the girl and the tape.

I Liked the American original...very creepy. I was highly anticipating seeing the original Jananeese version as I thought it had to be scarier...it was also a huge hit in Japan. It wasn't as scary as the US version, which is sort of strange. It was pretty tame I thought.

I was looking forward to Ring 2..but I read the reviews and all of them have said it's not all that. I may wait for video.

I think I'm one of the few that enjoyed the Japanese version of the Ring. SSB is right it's less scarier. I enjoyed the simplicity of it. There were no major special effects like in the American version. I do have to admit that the girl coming out of the t.v. was scarier for me on the Japanese version. It was much more claustrophobic.

I thought the first one sucked so I'll pass on this on!

maybe if the ring was a trilogy of books i'd read it but i'm too scared to even watch the trailer. why do scary movies exist? they're so freakin' terrible. i hate them!!!

wow. I really hated this movie. So much so that I almost wanted to ask for my money back. It was boring, not scary and, well, lame. Like the deer thing. WTF? And the weird faces when they were killed. It's like it was trying so hard to be spooky and they just couldn't think of anything all that good.

You're like me! I went to bed that night after seeing the Ring (US version) and couldn't fall asleep for 5 hours. If I see Ring 2 it will have to be an early morning session!!!

Is the third one going to be called "The Return of the Ring"?
