But being clever and full of philosophical ideas and references doesn't make
for a good movie, and that was the downfall of Reloaded & Revolutions IMHO.
They ended up being more concerned with the 'substance' at the expence of a
cohesive surface story. The first film had the perfect balance between story
and message/metaphor. The second two seemed a lot clunkier in this respect,
though I admit they were trying to mesh much harder concepts.

Remember the part in Reloaded where Neo talks to the Architect, and there are all the old Neo's flipping him off? They all died to stop the war. Unfortunately for them, the end of the war meant most humans had to die. In Revolutions, it was just that Neo dying at the end of the war, with peace.

I think the convo meant that war would start up again eventually, and then they'd creat another Neo program.

But I'm surprised the Christ analogies on the "Burly Brawl," with Neo becoming Smith as analogy for Christ taking on the sins of the world didn't throw you off more, considering that even if that's the explanation for Neo becoming Smith (it may not be, I heard it from a friend), the Oracles inclusion leaves me scratching me head.

I had trouble understanding all 3

There have been many Matrices (6 in all) since their creation. This was the
first time the cycle had been broken.
