Everybody needs to see this movie at least once in their lives.

Yes, they should. It's a very good one from one of my favorite directors. They should see the original first.

I've never seen the original movie, nor read the novel. I'm not even sure if this movie is politically correct. I mean it paints with pretty broad brushstrokes - but I love it. It's the perfect rainy day movie.

"A Night On Earth"? I saw that in this one video store that had a lot of older rarer movies and it looked interesting. So worth the rental?

A title would help if you think everyone should see it. Movie posters, not scenes, people!

If I got time, maybe I'll swing by there. It's a little out of the way, though.

I'm quite embarrassed to have a movie with Keanu on my list.

I wouldn't claim that any of the above are great movies, except for In The Company of Men, which I think is absolutely the meanest, nastiest and best-written film since Taxi Driver. The rest of my choices are all flawed to some extent, but they've all resonated with me.

Happiness is definately on my top ten. It's funny you mentioned River's Edge. That movie was based on something that happened near my home.

my favorite movie changes all the time. i'm a movie junkie so the list is constantly being amended.

one of my all-time favorites is 'dark city', but it would take too long to list each and every movie that's been my favorite over the years.

as for recent favorites, i rented 'secret window' with johnny depp this weekend. it's based on a stephen king project and was genuinely unsettling (although the plot mimicks that in the movie 'chasing sleep'). i did sort of guess what was going on halfway through, but it was still quite well done.

WHAT? No, Bob Saget movie or err TV movie?

Hey, Bob Saget did direct the "classic" (?) "Dirty Work".
