I Hate It When Snow Ruins My Plans! I was supposed to go see Ring 2 tonight, but it ain't happening! I can't blame it entirely on the snow we're getting here in Mpls, but that's part of it. The highways are clearing up, but on the way there, my tire went flat, and when I filled it up, there was a BIG air bubble in the tire. I didn't want to chance it with the roads being iffy, so I just came back home. Now, I'm stuck at home without a damn thing to do. "Nothing to do" is kinda pathetic when I have hundreds of books, 500+ DVDs and 700+CDs.

I'd like to think that I normally have pretty good taste in film. I see lots and lots of films in the theatre (generally making it to at least one film a week) and watch at least four or 5 a week at home to catch up on classics. But my weak spot is horror...bad, bad horror usually. I confess, it is my weak spot. | |

But it commits the major sin of horror - it's mediocre and boring. I liked the cinematography of the first, but the little girl with the really long bangs was never really scary for me. [Edited 3/18/05 17:30pm] I know a lot of people who were scared to death by the first one. Personally, I thought it was an okay film, but they tried a little too hard to make it creepy. I prefer the Japanese original, but every last one of those sequels were awful. | |
