well, any other night, either. but tonight you know ther will be a lot of drunk and stupid people out and about. it's the 'fashion' and besides, it's sooooo cool to drink until you're unable to stand up or talk.

do i sound bitter? yeah. well. today i've been reviewing medical records and photographs from a lawsuit arising from a fatality involving a drunk driver who killed an innocent 16 yr old girl by declining the ride his friends offered him home from the bar, getting behind the wheel of his car and swerving into some stranger's vehicle. blood on the pavement and corpse on the road.

the only survivor of this accident still has pieces of glass extruding from her face. does that sound fun?

ok. rant over. sorry. please don't drink and drive. ever.

My best friend in college was changing a tire on the freeway and his body was struck by a drunk driver. His left arm was paralyzed after that.

In a related note, he later fell in the bathroom a couple years later and fractured his skull. We found him, called the paramedics, and found out he had major head trama (he had hit his head when the drunk driver hit him in his first accident so the docs think that maybe come into play in making his injury that much worse...) Anyways, he'll never walk or talk again, he's bedridden, etc...he communicates with eye movements and blinking...sad....

Sigh, so true. Just last Sunday a friend was telling the story of how she was driving home so drunk she ran into a roundabout and then got out of her car and proceeded to yell at the roundabout for being in the middle of the road. She thought it was hilarious, I was horrified.
I won't drive even if I've only had one drink - I can feel the effects of the alcohol after even one drink (cheap date!).

But, what if You just had a bunch to drink and you made plans not to go out and Bob Saget called you asking for a ride? he also makes it known that he'd pay you back in a special way.

Saddest thing is that they endanger other people's lives as well. Over here they will start drug testing very soon because unfortunately many people still don't realize it's just as bad as drinking and driving.
