I have too much time on my hands but help me with this one....

We know that a Jedi called Sipher Deous asked for the clones to be made shortly before he 'died'

Now...Sipher Deous is,I assume, none other than Darth SiDeous (Heres the tricky part)

If Palpatine is Sideous and Sideous is Sipher Deous...dont you think the Jedi would turn round to Palpatine and say "wait a second you look just like that bloke we used to know who died 20 years ago"!!!!

Im still for the theory that Plapatine is Anakins father by using the Darkside to get his mum up the duff

And that the real Plapatine is behind the scenes and teh guy in the Senate is a clone...who the real Sideous will dramtically strike down to reveal himself

Sipher whatsit could have been the Darth at the time.

Jedi master Sifo-Dyas certainly existed in his own right, as Obi-Wan
was familiar with the name when Lama Su mentioned him.

From what I've heard, Count Dooku impersonated Sifo-Dyas in order to place the
order for the clone army, and also delete the info about Kamino from the Jedi
archive. Dooku used to be a Jedi 20 years ago when Sifo-Dyas was still alive.

In the early draughts I heard about years ago, there certainly was a lot more
to the whole Palpatine/Sidious thing (which did involve clones), but I'm pretty
sure that's all been dropped from the final product we'll see in 2 months time.

Ive seen taht footage too - but I think its just very cleverly edited to throw peopel off teh scent.

I still beleive that the "I need your help my son" line by Palpatine to Anakin is a bit too clear to ignore....Unfortuantely I expect Lucas would play that card again and,to his credit, it would tie the whole story together with three generations slugging it out in ROTJ

People have said that Palpatien cant be his father becaus ehe is teh chosen one and has to be immaculately conceved...Think Matrix - a control to keep the Jedi occupied perhaps? Like Neo Vader/Anakin simply lives upto his prophecy because he chooses to
