Ah, nice. Vancouver is so awesome. Yeah, I like Stanley Park a lot, and good shopping nearby. Robson Street is fun. Stop into Lush, it's this really delish bath/body shop.

Chinatown is WAY fab too. Check out the chinese garden.

I live in Vancouver and I must say that the natural beauty of the city and its surroundings is the best thing about it. Sure, you can go shopping on Robson, but even there the selection is quite poor (and sometimes too pricey). Focus instead on the culture in Chinatown and Gastown like somebody else suggested if you're looking for a "city vacation". If not, then try:

The cable car up to the top of Grouse Mountain. If you book a table at the restaurant there (which has an amazing view) then the cable car is free.

Go for a stroll on Wreck Beach. It's a "clothing optional" beach, but this time of year you won't run into too many nudists. It's a gorgeous secluded area with a great view.

Sign up for the sea bus' sightseeing tour.

Walk through Stanley Park at night and see the racoons. But beware of skunks!
