Seen posts that were meaningful and heartfelt just fall into the past pages of 'orgdom'...yet 25 posts about pot-smoking-homo-pimps-who measure vaginas-while speeding in their cars dominate the forums. Or times when someone responds to someone's quote and then are completely ignored by the thread starter...but their "buddy" gives a similiar response and is acknowledged. I try to acknowlege every birthday thread I see. Even if I'm not familiar with the that particular orger. Who's to say who's more important. I will admit to ignoring those who ignore me or are just rude for no damn reason.
So there's good and bad when it comes to cliques. If it's a matter of just not interested in a thread..fine. But choosing only to acknowledge people you like and not getting to know someone new (being the fact that they ARE new ) ..well..it's your choice. No battle to be fought here. Just an observation.
Carry on.  I'm sure this will be ignored as well. And here's a  2 anyone that needs it!

OK, we also have to bare in mind that whenever some people are present, I tend to get pretty nasty comments from them--so I avoid people for more reasons than just "I think they're boring"
Plus, (I'm cracking up as I type this), I've had many a person tell me they deliberately avoid my threads. I think we tend to congregate with those we can relate to. EvilWhiteMale is an exception as I've seen him in and out of threads and it's very difficult to pin down exactly what he'll pop in on. | |

Despite what it looks like I have no Clique...I may have people always on my threads and may be viewed as "popular" at least in the GD section....but the people that post on my threads are always diverse...I talk to just about everyone (well the people who like me anyway) with the exception of those who have a problem with me. I don't look at if your new or another account cause I don't care. But I don't have a particular set of friends or crew I post with...I know and have chatted with just about everyone at some point.... clever clever quotation - attention getting quote - sad yet witty remark - look at me! Some folks here have way to much time on thier hands and ppl are scared of me. Haters travel in packs and they are offended or threatened by klhk, haters express intense hostility toward the subject of hate. eh, cliques are to be found everywhere. what can you do?
I certainly gravitate towards posting on threads of people I "know" or find amusing and shy away from replying to people I don't care for. But I check out threads of people I don't know too. And reply if I've got something to add. Kinda like how I relate to people in real life. That said, if I have a clique around here, I'm not sure who's in it.  |
