Okay, what if the deal was that the fame payed well and lasted for at least a year, and probably longer?

I'm not suggesting I am going to become famous by starting this thread, but I have been sending my music off to a number of well-known musicians that I either know or are friends of friends....and I got to thinkin about how I'd react if it happened.....and now I'm just wondering how you all would react?

Some people react very different than others...it destroys some and enriches others...

I mean, I think I'd lie somewhere in between....I might have a few issues with it, but like 9s said, blowing up TVs is where it's at. Yeah.

if it lasted for maybe a year or so i'd enjoy it, save what i made instead of squander it like some celebs do and use it to run my own business.

If my only route to riches were fame I'd prefer to stay broke. I like being in the background.

Like, how famous? I could take local tv news anchor famous. Maybe even indie film/rock-star famous. But I couldn't take world-wide celebrity famous.
I don't know why but I get a little thrill when people notice me. It's probably sad, really. Recently I was in a local tv commercial on a tiny little station and while I never even saw it myself I had random strangers telling me they saw me on tv and the like. A friend of mine even had people calling him saying, hey, that chick you always hang out with is on tv! It was fun. Makes me feel kinda special that folks I don't even know take notice of me.
But once you reach a certain degree of celebrity, all the negative stuff comes out too. I can't take criticism and I'd probably crawl into a hole and never come out if I had to see myself in tabloids, old boyfriends selling "tell-all" interviews to Hard Copy, that kind of thing.
